Are my applications using Protection PLUS exportable outside the USA?
On September 20, 2016 the US Department of Commerce published new rules revising the Commerce Control List (CCL) and other sections of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These new rules allow export self-classification based on certain guidelines such as the encryption algorithms and the method in which they are utilized. We have confirmed with the US Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security our products fall under ECCN 5D992.c and have been self-classified under this Export Control Classification. The US government may impose special temporary restrictions to certain countries for products listed under ECCN 5D992.c.
