Common SOLO Server Activation Result Codes (5000-series)

When an activation or deactivation request to SOLO Server fails, it returns a numeric result code in the 5000-series. Here are the ones you are most likely to see and what to do about them. For the complete list, see Result Codes in the manual.

Code Meaning What to do
5006 Security Check Failure Too many failed activation attempts in a short time (possible brute force). Click Reset Activation Check on the License Details page.
5008 Invalid Activation Data The License ID and/or Password could not be validated. Confirm the customer has a valid License ID and Password and is entering them correctly.
5010 Invalid ProductID The ProductID sent in the request does not match the one on the License ID. Check the ProductID your app passes.
5012 Invalid Product Version The application version is below the Minimum Activation Version on the Product Option. Update the app or lower the minimum.
5013 No Remaining Activations The maximum number of activations for the License ID has been used. Increase the allowed activations, or deactivate an installation to free one.
5016 Deactivated Installation The Installation ID was deactivated in SOLO Server. Re-enable it, or issue a new License ID / Password.
5017 Invalid License Status The License ID status is something other than "OK" (for example Void, Returned, or Expired). Check Status on the License Details page.
5018 No Remaining Deactivations Deactivation failed because the license has no deactivations left. See Allowing License Deactivation and Transfers.
5019 License Expired The License ID expiration date is in the past. Extend the expiration or renew.
5021 Invalid IP Address The activating machine's IP is not in the Allowed Activation IPs (only applies if IP restriction is configured on the Product Option).
5022 Invalid System Time The computer's clock is outside the allowed threshold (more than about 24 hours off from the server). Correct the system clock and try again.
5027 Invalid Network Session The network floating session was closed or has expired.
5028 No Network Seats Remaining All concurrent seats are in use. Wait for a session to close or expire, or add seats.
5029 Invalid Trigger Code Data Invalid trigger code data was entered during a manual/offline activation. Re-check the codes.
5033 Account Closed The author's SoftwareKey-hosted SOLO Server account is closed. See error 5033.
